Today's Devo 4/25...Always remember

His Mercy is Greater

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.”
(Psalm 100:5, NKJV)

When you make a mistake, unfortunately, the critics and naysayers come out of the woodwork. People will tell you, “You’re all washed up. It’s too late.” If you wear that label, it will keep you from the amazing future God has in store. God says, “My mercy is bigger than any mistake.” God says, “I can still get you to your destiny.” God says, “I will give you beauty for those ashes. I’ll pay you back double for the unfair things that have happened.” You wouldn’t be alive unless God had another victory in your future. Why don’t you take off the “washed up” label? Take off the “failure,” “guilty,” “condemned” labels and put on some new labels: redeemed, restored, forgiven, bright future, new beginning.

Always remember, you have been made in the image of Almighty God. God did not make any mistakes. You are the perfect size. You have the right personality, the right gifts, the right looks, the right skin color. You are not an accident. God designed you precisely for the race that is laid out for you. You are fully equipped for this life, and His mercy is greater than any mistake you could make. Embrace the truth and the victory He has in store for your future!

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for equipping me for everything I need in this life. I choose to renounce old labels and forgive those who have hurt me. I set my eyes on You, Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Dedication to Mothers...In Preparation for Mother's Day 2013

An excerpt from
Heart of a Mother
by Paula J. Fox
Mothers are also a lot LIKE flowers in many ways...each one has her own unique beauty and each is designed by God to bloom where she is planted. As the heart of a Mother grows and blossoms in beauty and grace, she spreads her fragrance of LOVE not only in her home, but throughout her world.

Walk with me now through this enchanting garden as we examine how the different qualities and characteristics of each of these flowers remind us of the BEAUTY of a Mother's love.

Baby's Breath

Our first flower reminds us of the very beginning of a woman's life as a Mother...the moment when she takes her first child into her arms and smells the fragrance of that sweet Baby's Breath. Her heart will never be the same again.

Lilac

The Lilac represents the fragrance of a Mother's sacrifice...the lovely scent of forgiveness that results when a flower is crushed and gives back to the very one that crushed it. It reminds us of the beauty that surrounds a Mother who is always willing to forgive her children's faults and offer them compassion, mercy and unconditional love.

Hydrangea

The Hydrangea has a wonderful quality of being able to change color from shades of pink to blue. Initially it was thought that this flower was like a chameleon, changing color to match its surroundings, but experiments proved that the color is actually determined by the roots of the plant and the kind of soil it is planted in. This illustrates the Mother who gives her children a rich foundation of love and deep roots of character and strength.

Prayer for today 4/19/2013

Father thank you for a new day in you.   A new day of power and a new day of strength.   Thank you Father for your word works.   If we trust you and if we believe you ... you work out all things for our good.   Thank you for working it all out today.   For working out the things we have need of.    For healing our bodies and for meeting our needs.   Thank you Father for giving us the peace that exceeds our understanding.   We love you Lord.   We expect you Lord.    We expect you to move for us and to move through us.   We expect you to pour out your love upon us.   We expect you.

Now Father we ask that you do what you do.   Bless like only you can.   Show up and show out like only you can.   Father as we yield to you, honor your word in us.   In Jesus name we do pray.   Amen.

Niggling...Today's Devo 4/4/2013

Niggling
Today in America, it’s hard to imagine anyone (Christian or not) who is totally unaware that when someone speaks about God, they’re referring to the living, powerful creator. In the book of Acts, when Paul visited Greece, most people there worshipped idols. He explained that the God he served wasn’t made by man – rather, man, the heavens and the earth was created by Him. Paul pointed out an altar they’d made with the inscription “To the unknown god.” “What therefore you worship as unknown,” Paul told them, “this I proclaim to you.” (Acts 17:23)
They should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him.
Acts 17:27

There must have been a niggling in their spirits, a desire to worship the true God instead of inanimate objects. Paul assured them that God is near everyone (Acts 17:27). And you have Christ’s promise, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

Take advantage of this precious promise to ask, seek and knock for yourself, the nation, and all those who have that niggling in their spirits – knowing there’s something more to life, and that it may be available from their creator God.
